Naficon Oy - Data transfer faster than light

Naficon is a company specialized in fibre optic products. The company was established in 1994 and it manufactures fibre optic pigtails and patch cords directly in the customers' demands. The products also include the passive components of the optical cable network. Besides the manufacture Naficon sells adaptors, panels, couplers, attenuators, WDM and CWDM components and cleaning tools. All the above products are stock material.

 

Naficon is located in Nauvo, in the Turku archipelago. Our products are domestic, and we are granted a well-known mark of origin that shows our products are manufactured in Finland. By manufacturing in Finland we keep also the jobs in Finland. Our company employs 23 persons at the moment (June 1st 2009) and our production capacity is approx. 300.000 connectors per year.

 

We manufacture both single mode and multimode connectors. Besides the UPC-polishing we use also the 8* APC-polishing. We use the latest machines in our production, e.g. in polishing and interferometer measuring. Apart from normal fibre pigtails and patch cords we also make a lot of multi-fibre cables. The amount of the fibres vary from 2 to 96. We also make patch panels (picture below) for rack and ODF-installations according to the customers' requests. We have the panels for 19", TT-120, TT-192, YJT-05 and NAF1000 (FF1000) racks. We also make cable assemblies for all of them.

 

 

 

In 15 years we have evolved from a small company of two people into one of the most versatile connector manufacturers in Finland. Quality, reliability and flexibility are words best to describe the principles of Naficon. Using high-quality materials and manufacturing machines and keeping up and developing our knowledge and skills are the reasons we maintain the good quality year after year. Direct contacts with the customers, understanding their needs and ability to cooperate have provided the foundation for the reputation as a reliable supplier.

 

The customers often need their products on short notice, and the connector types and cable lengths vary quite a lot. As a small company we have the ability to make custom-built products quickly and flexibly with a short delivery time - and of high quality. We try to help our customers keep their stocks and items as small as possible. Our principle is that when you get your products from us, you can order what you need, not what you're offered.
